YouTube Heroes
Those who think that organizations like the Stasi, the KGB and Gestapo belong belong to the past is wrong. These practices of everyday life in the year 2016. The difference lies in the fact that these practices now be inserted into a hip jacket. A smoothed animation and an up-beat guitar melody are apparently enough to disguise the true nature of evil. I’m talking about the newly introduced YouTube Heroes. Under the motto ‘if I do not like something, it should not exist’ plays YouTube with this new concept to the demand of a growing group of hysterical millennial’s. This may cause the end of Youtube. A final poll position for free speech that nevertheless was seriously maimed already on YouTube.
In short, YouTube gives people ‘a Hero’ (how ironic) may be to earn points. How you earn those points? Simple, through videos you do not like to flag making it, most likely, will be removed. like YouTube itself suggests: “Like all heroes, you deserve a place to call home”. And in this special safe space, there is obviously no room for opinions which might offend the obviously more important opinion of others. Every youtuber which even remotely controversial opinions can now be silenced by any random snitch out there. Who ever thought that it is a good idea to give Social Justice Warriors much power is beyond me. Fact is that your powers increase as you earn more points.
The end of Youtube?
As with the Stasi, KGB or Gestapo can then work your way up by simply doing what the big boss wants. These developments are a good example of efficiency. Namely: how do you help yourself as a very popular website yourself as quickly and as effectively as possible to perdition? I hope that they, as more people resist these developments they will change their mind about starting this program. Otherwise we have to transport our video content to other sites.
